The island of Murano has always been characterized not only by the production of glass, but also by the use of nicknames to identify the families of the island.
The name "Beocio" derives from Napoleone Toso, grandfather of the current owner of the structure and the one who decided to build the house.
Napoleone had characteristic blue eyes, large beautiful eyes, which earned him the nickname of Beocio (beautiful eye).
The choice to introduce it in the title of our project is to allow tourists to get to know a tradition that is now fading and that makes us very proud and to remember those who are no longer there but who live every day in vivid memories of each of us.
